I am Rajiv Kumar Gope, currently pursuing M.Sc. Tech in Applied Geology at IIT ISM Dhanbad, with a CGPA of 7.84(till 4th sem).I have extensive experience in both the energy and mineral sectors, gained through internships and international training. At BCCL, I gained practical experience in coal classification, seam correlation, floor contour mapping, reserve estimation, and visited the Moonidih underground drilling site.Additionally, I completed a Summer School at Saint Petersburg Mining University, Russia, where I trained in geophysical well logging, mud logging, MT method, offshore production systems, and performed hands-on exercises in tNavigator, petrophysical analysis, drilling simulations, and VR production well operations.My academic experience includes projects on mineral prospecting using geophysics, lead contamination modeling, energy security, and currently my dissertation on surface–groundwater interaction around the Hirakud Reservoir using GIS and hydrochemistry.I also have strong technical skills in QGIS, ArcGIS, R-Studio, Petrel, AutoCAD, and structural geology tools like Stereonet.Beyond academics, I have leadership experience as General Secretary of the Geological Society at IIT ISM, and I’ve actively participated in field training across Vindhyan Basin, Bhilwara Supergroup, IB Valley, and underground coal mines.Overall, I bring a combination of technical knowledge, hands-on field experience, leadership, and strong communication skills, making me well-prepared for roles in exploration, logging, and subsurface interpretation.
